Advertising Disclosure
App US is an ad-supported directory; this page explains how that works.
App US is a free app discovery platform supported by digital advertising. This summary explains how advertising works here, what data our advertising partners may collect, and how you can control targeted advertising; the full disclosure is on this page.
We may display two kinds of ads. Contextual advertisements are based on the content of the page you are viewing and do not rely on your browsing history. Interest-based (behavioural) advertisements are served using your inferred interests and past activity through third-party advertising networks. We may also use conversion tracking to measure which ads are effective.
To deliver interest-based ads, our advertising partners may place cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies on your device, associate your browser with interest categories, and combine data from App US with data from other sites you visit. Our advertising partners may include Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) and Google, and we may use conversion-tracking technologies such as the Microsoft UET (Universal Event Tracking) tag to measure ad performance. These partners act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. We do not share your name or email address with advertising networks, though pseudonymous identifiers such as cookie and device IDs may be collected.
Some links on App US may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a referral fee if you take an action on a third-party platform, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence whether an app is listed or how it is described — listings come from publicly available store data. We disclose this in line with FTC guidelines.
You can limit interest-based advertising using the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) opt-out tools, the Global Privacy Control signal (which we honour), and your browser's cookie controls. Opting out does not reduce the number of ads you see — it makes them less tailored to your interests. We do not knowingly serve targeted ads to children under 13.
